Drum filter for fish lice

Focus Construction and Focus Engineering have been working together with Smir to manufacture drum filter for filtering of lice. The filter cleans the seawater before it goes back to the sea. Made from stainless steel, the design is a hygienic, robust solution with high capacity. Integrated into the filter design is an automatic washing system, reducing the washing time. These filters are part of the Hydrolicer system and have been installed on the vessels “Notman”, “Hydro Pioneer” and “Ro Vision”.
In 2020, the “Ro Vision” won the award for “Ship of the year” – the industry’s most prestigious professional jury award for Norwegian ship technology and innovation. The prize is awarded annually to a Norwegian-built ship at a Norwegian shipyard.

In this project Focus Construction made available a dashboard to the Client so they could follow the manufacturing process live. Focus Construction also delivers a tailormade system where the Client easily can order spare parts. Read more on Smir’s homepage linked below.
